OFFSEASON PROJECT
The next four pages showcases a project I’ve been working on this semester for Photo Practicum. On the weekends I’ve been traveling back home to where I grew up, Cape Cod, MA. My objective for the project is to capture the OFFSEASON of the Cape. Its hauntingly quiet winters offer a strange landscape where tourist attractions become ghostly shadows of a Summer season full of life and activity. Although the population drops significantly, locals still live their day-to-day lives by these empty beach lots, and closed-for-the-season attractions. I hope to show a different Cape Cod not seen in souvenir post cards and calendars. Shot with Medium Format cameras, and kodak color film.
